On the 31st of October, 2019, was announced that Wonho, whose real name is Lee Ho-seok, was leaving the K-pop boy band Monsta X which he had been a part of since their debut in 2015.
Starship Enetrainment, which is the company Monsta X debuted under, released an official statement on all of their social media in which they thanked the fans for their support and apologised, saying that Wonho’s contract with them had been terminated and Monsta X was going to continue as a six-member group. Additionally, Wonho released a handwritten letter, which was translated by Soompi, in which he also apologised to fans about the situation and asked them to support the remaining members of Monsta X.

Fight for Wonho

On a cold autumn afternoon Valentina Buhin came back from school and started checking the different fandom news. She was in so many fandoms, it was unreal.
October was such an eventful month for the K-pop industries. There were so many different and amazing comebacks from all of her favourite bands like Stray Kids who were her all-time favourite idols, Ateez, Oneus and so many others. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of negative things happening. First, there was Sulli’s passing, after that Hwall left The Boyz, and then – her eyes watered thinking about it – Woojin left Stray Kids after just a year and a half of being in the band. ‘Nine or none,’ was their motto and yet…they were now eight. She sighed, remembering all of that and decided to check YouTube for some new comeback stages.
