Dramas I Recently Watched

By Yuli Atta

Hi guys, it's been a while, hasn't it? I finally submitted all of my final assessments for university and I've been reading for 3 days straight, trying to finish Legacy of Ash by Matthew Ward (and I'm also filming a reading vlog for it). I didn't read at all in the last 2 weeks BUT I watched a lot of dramas, some Thai, some Korean, and today I'm gonna talk about them. They are more or less in chronological order.

I came across this drama while looking up some other things on YouTube and the trailer started randomly playing. Now, this is a very weird drama that isn't meant to be taken too seriously but I loved it so, so much!

All of the cast was a part of the Thai idol group 9x9 and 4 of them are now part of TRINITY. I loved their acting in this one and I would kill for a BTS of so many of the episodes. While the story, I feel like, isn't anything special or original, I really enjoyed the characters and the plot and while I found Love annoying at times, I could also understand why she/he was so focused on this one guy, who I just don't like (the character, not the actor).

I loved the friends Love made and the story, it was silly and funny, and emotional and I enjoyed every second of it.

4 Things To Look Out For In “Angel's Last Mission: Love” Premiere ...

I'm going to try and film a review for this drama on the Nerd Alert youtube channel but until then, I will share some of my thoughts here.

I absolutely LOVED this drama! It was so emotional, the acting was absolutely great and I fell in love with the characters and their story and their constant struggles. I was almost brought to tears at the end, and it's now among my favourites!

(More in the video to come.)

What's Wrong With Secretary Kim - 김비서가 왜 그럴까 - Watch Full ...

After watching such a dramatic and bittersweet drama I decided that I wanted something lighthearted and watched WWWSK.

I really enjoyed it, I don't have much to say but it was an adorable drama and I loved the cast and story.

My ID Is Gangnam Beauty - 내 아이디는 강남미인 - Watch Full ...

Now this one was a fail.

Judging from the description, I thought I'd love and enjoy it because it seemed like it wanted to send a message that I appreciate - appearances aren't all there is to a person. However, I think the drama focused on outer looks for way longer than I had the patience for. While I do understand that the main character's journey had to be long and full of lessons, most of the times she was too stupid to get them.

My main problem with the drama was that the main character's naivety and stupidity were too unrealistic for what she's been through. After being bullied for the majority of her life and lacking any sort of social experience, yes, she might be socially awkward and not get certain things but she wouldn't be stupid. I think that for somebody who's dealt with bullying for the majority of her life, she shouldn't have been so naive, in fact, she shouldn't have trusted complete strangers so easily. Instead, she probably should've had some trust issues and she should've even maybe thought that everybody who talked to her or told her she was beautiful was joking or having some kind of an end-goal.

Her poor main love interest had to struggle the most and if I was in his place, I would've forgotten her and tried to find somebody less insecure.

I loved his mother and pretty much all of the character supporting our MC but her I didn't like one bit.

How 'Why R U?' became the perfect Thai boy love drama for right now

My favorite BL for the first quarter of 2020 has ended and I am sad. Because of the Coronavirus we couldn't see the full development of SaifahZon but they've promised a special episode about them so I can't wait to see it after this quarantine is over.

I loved the show because of the couple and their different stories. While SaifahZon was the soft and slow-burn couple, FighterTutor was the passionate one and I loved them so much.

Zee's acting stood out to me so much because you could see his emotions so, so clearly, you'd never guess this is his first time acting. I loved his portrayal of Fighter so so much.

The last episode was adorable. I really love this drama.

I'll Go to You When the Weather is Fine recap: Rundown of the JTBC ...

I will miss this drama the most out of all the rest because it was such a cozy show. I will definitely miss the town, the bookstore and book club, and the characters.

It's a melodrama but I honestly found it very enjoyable and not overly dramatic, I loved the acting and the main female lead is the actress from WWWSK which I didn't realize until I was halfway through WWWSK.

I really liked the story because it deals with important topics like abusive relationships and anxiety. I especially liked the anxiety representation because I actually related to Eun Seob and the way he pushes people away when he isn't feeling well. That's at least the way I interpreted it. I grew attached to these characters so much, I'm going to miss them.

Seo Kang Joon is one of my favourite actors and this drama just cemented that.
